How do I prepare my product before its first use and how do I best maintain it?

Below are some tips to help you maintain your glassware and keep it looking like new for a long time.

Our glass products are all made of borosilicate glass. So you don't have to worry about the temperature of the water you use to rinse your products.

Teapots and herbal teapots

Regardless of the model you have, the maintenance tips are the same for all teapots and herbal tea makers.

First of all, it is necessary to fill your teapot or herbal tea pot with boiling water, wait 1 to 2 minutes and then empty the water.

While the container is still warm, wipe the outside walls with a dry cloth. To ensure a good first use, repeat these steps 3 times.

Finally, let the inside of your product dry before using it.

The tea gourds

For water bottles, it is necessary to rinse each container separately.

For glass bottles, first separate the top container from the bottom one and rinse each part thoroughly with boiling water.

For stainless steel bottles, it is also necessary to separate the upper and lower containers before rinsing each part thoroughly with boiling water.

The particularity of stainless steel is that it does not retain the odors of the teas consumed and does not alter the taste of the tea you drink. Moreover, stainless steel is very resistant and prolongs the life of these bottles.

Once you have rinsed each container, use a dry cloth to wipe the outside walls while they are still hot. When done, all you have to do is let the inside of the containers dry.

Coffee makers

For coffee makers, it is necessary to separate the glass container from the material inside (filter, filter holder or piston) before rinsing the container for the first time.

Next, fill the glass container with boiling water, wait 1 to 2 minutes and then drain the water. While it is still hot, wipe the outside walls with a dry cloth preferably and repeat these steps 3 times.

In the meantime, you can rinse the filter or the plunger with warm tap water.

Finally, let the inside of the coffee maker and its accessories dry before using it.

Coffee cups

Rinsing coffee cups is very simple. It is necessary to rinse each cup thoroughly with boiling water before each first use.

Once the rinsing is complete, allow the cups to dry before using.

The jars

Before rinsing the jars, it is necessary to separate the lid from the glass jar.

Then fill your jar with boiling water and wait 1 to 2 minutes before emptying the water. While the jar is still hot, wipe the outside walls with a dry cloth if possible. Ideally, repeat these steps 3 times.

In the meantime, you can rinse the lid with warm tap water.

Finally, let the jar and its lid dry before using it.

Water jugs

Before rinsing the decanters, it is necessary to separate the lid from the glass container.

Then fill your carafe with boiling water, wait 1 to 2 minutes and then empty the water. While the water is still hot, wipe the outside walls with a dry cloth. To ensure a good first use, repeat these steps 3 times.

In the meantime, you can rinse the stainless steel lid with warm tap water.

Finally, let the decanter and its lid dry before using it.

Water glasses

Rinse each glass thoroughly with boiling water before first use. You can repeat this step a second time if necessary.

Once done, let the glasses dry before using them.

For future use, all glass products are dishwasher safe. Just be sure to wash any parts that contain bamboo or silicone by hand.
